Hidroelectrica is Romania's largest electricity producer, operating a portfolio of hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity of approximately 6,400 MW. The company conducted Romania's largest-ever IPO in July 2023, raising approximately 1.9 billion EUR. It is majority owned by the Romanian state through Fondul Proprietatea and direct government holdings.
