OMV Petrom is Romania's largest oil and gas company and the largest corporation in Southeast Europe by revenue, involved in exploration, production, refining, and retail fuel distribution. It is majority-controlled by Austria's OMV AG, with the Romanian state holding a significant minority stake. The company is a key partner in the Neptun Deep offshore natural gas project in the Black Sea, one of Europe's largest gas developments.
