Gambaran umum ekonomi & industri
Morocco is a lower-middle-income economy in North Africa with a GDP of approximately $154 billion (World Bank, 2024), underpinned by phosphate mining and processing, automotive manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, and financial services. The country holds the world's largest proven phosphate reserves and is Africa's leading automotive hub, having produced more than 500,000 vehicles in 2024. Real GDP growth has averaged above 3% in the post-pandemic period, supported by large-scale infrastructure investment and expanding renewable-energy capacity. Morocco is classified as a Frontier Market by MSCI and is strategically positioned as a trade and investment gateway between Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. Major credit rating agencies rate Morocco at Ba1/BB+, just below investment grade, citing moderate debt levels and controlled inflation.
